Justin Morrell, one-time bass player for Bellmore pop sensations Permanent Me, made Big City Lights active in early 2007. Since then, the band has established themselves as masters of concise, traditional pop-punk in the styles of The Early November, Saves The Day and Senses Fail.
Morrell, who plays guitar and sings in Big City Lights, is accompanied by Sal Sparaccio on lead guitar, Adam Tepfer on bass and Michael Magnetico on drums. The band played their first series of local shows in spring 2007 following the release of their demo, appropriately titled "Spring Demo '07."
As of summer 2007, Big City Lights is in the process of writing and recording a new demo and performing locally.
