Formed in 2000, Cosmo's Moon combines melodic, yet hard-hitting music with thought-provoking lyrics, making a name for itself both on Long Island and in NYC. Its members pride themselves on their high-energy live shows and unique sound.

Founding member and lead guitarist "Reverend" Mark Valentino's music and lyrics are based on his personal experiences, which provide the listener a window into Valentino's soul. "I know I wear my heart and emotions on my sleeve when I write, but there's nothing wrong with bringing honesty and truth and mixing them with a few notes and words. It's that honesty and truth that is missing a lot from today's music," Valentino is quoted as saying.

Valentino describes his style as reminiscent of Neal Schon, Al DiMeola, Joe Satriani, and John Petrucci.

Drummer Lucille Weidner provides the backbone of this music force, while vocalist and rhythm guitarist Matt Dower is the voice behind Cosmo's Moon. Weidner's voice has been described as both soulful and emotive, bringing a powerful element once missing from the group.

Other members include Trisha Storch, co-lead vocalist, and Marty Houlroyd, bassist.

Cosmo's Moon currently plays shows twice-monthly at a variety of venues across the island and in the city.
